Summary

At this high school, instead of jocks and nerds, the students are divided into predators and prey。

At a high school where the students are literally divided into predators and prey, friendships maintain the fragile peace。 Who among them will become a Beastar—a hero destined to lead in a society naturally rife with mistrust?

Gray wolf Legoshi joins forces with Beastar horse Yahya to try to apprehend a mixed-species elephant poacher。 Meanwhile, gray wolf Juno meets with red deer Louis and learns why he can’t be with her, even if he wanted to。 Together, Juno and Legoshi face the drawbacks of being in love with another species。 Then Legoshi falls into a trap he can’t escape without the aid of a stranger, and Louis gets an offer he might not be able to refuse。

More talk about racism and politics in the world of Beastars, now with a few more ass-pulls and something about Legoshi being the fated link between all animals or whatever。

3。5 stars, rounded up。 More interesting expansions to the universe。 I thought Legoshi speaking sea creature language to save himself was really cool。 Also liked how Juno is now thinking about interspecies relationships herself and questioning the status-quo。 Looking forward to seeing more of the pureblood gang and their civet leader。

Good to learn about this world as we delve more into the themes of racism from a pretty rare point of view being how society views mixed race families。 Which I do find interesting as this seems to be the growing theme of this series。 Also love to learn more about Yafya and Legosi's past。 Good to learn about this world as we delve more into the themes of racism from a pretty rare point of view being how society views mixed race families。 Which I do find interesting as this seems to be the growing theme of this series。 Also love to learn more about Yafya and Legosi's past。 。。。more

3。5 star。 Of course my favorite aspect of this manga is Legosi and Haru。 Their relationship is crazy complex and I want to see where is goes。 But the story contradicts itself an awful lot。 It's honestly getting too annoying and I'm hoping it has to do with translation errors。 I mean like Legosi's grandfather is a pacifist and then 2 seconds later he is spilling everyones blood。 Another example is instead of calling the cops Legosi fights this bad guy and then does something else really crazy I d 3。5 star。 Of course my favorite aspect of this manga is Legosi and Haru。 Their relationship is crazy complex and I want to see where is goes。 But the story contradicts itself an awful lot。 It's honestly getting too annoying and I'm hoping it has to do with translation errors。 I mean like Legosi's grandfather is a pacifist and then 2 seconds later he is spilling everyones blood。 Another example is instead of calling the cops Legosi fights this bad guy and then does something else really crazy I didn't think he believed in and then of course the fight was for nothing because the cops show up anyway。 I think my mind melted after that chapter。 I am really enjoying the complications that come with all the different species though。 It's kind of funny to realize that if a leopard was a humanoid and wore clothes they would all prefer plain colors because they have designs already on their skin。 So every knew chapter comes with new understandings and I find it very interesting。I have a lot more gripes I think than I do praises。 It's just that I love the main characters so much but sometimes one of them will be put into that background so long that I'm not sure they are apart of the story anymore。 Haru is the main essential for many many moons then she is gone and it doesn't seem like anyone notices or cares and then bam out of no where she is essential again。I really just reading now to experience more scenes with them two together。 They main story is getting so crazy and it's not really relatable and often doesn't make since to me。 。。。more

A lot of what was started in the last volume continues here, in terms of the deep dive into the animal society that Legosi and his friends inhabit。 The story also is pushed along smoothly in these chapters, but not in a rushed pace or in a way that seems silly in a way that doesn’t match the tone of the series。 I do enjoy the silliness that is still integrated in most of the chapters, but it is certainly getting more serious, a little darker with the inclusion of Melon。 I think these development A lot of what was started in the last volume continues here, in terms of the deep dive into the animal society that Legosi and his friends inhabit。 The story also is pushed along smoothly in these chapters, but not in a rushed pace or in a way that seems silly in a way that doesn’t match the tone of the series。 I do enjoy the silliness that is still integrated in most of the chapters, but it is certainly getting more serious, a little darker with the inclusion of Melon。 I think these developments are also directly related to the growing relationships between Legosi and Louis which I am always here for。 The more intertwined these two’s lives become the more interesting the story gets。 I would say though, Haru and Legosi’s relationship seems to get lost frequently in recent chapters, although not so much that her character or their relationship in the story no longer makes sense。 I would just like seeing a little more of them together, and in more settings where they get to be teens first and brooding, worried animals, hung up on the herbivore/carnivore dynamic second。 。。。more

Do I just not remember or is this random and unimportant or something we find out later? Regardless, he thinks Melon may be out at sea because of what he overheard Holger saying。 So Legosi goes to the sea, but alas- it was a trap! Melon shows up, all chaotic and laughing, and tells the shishigumi to eat Legosi。 The Shishigumi talk about how much they hate their new boss as soon as he disappears, and resolve to drown Legosi instead (they are no longer the old Shishigumi that thrived for feasting)。 When is Legosi not in danger? They tie him to a chair and put his feat in cement, saying that they will get rid of Melon soon enough because they know of his weakness。 Intrigued, Legosi asks them to tell him the weakness if he can get back by 30 minutes。 Shocked, the shishigumi say, "sure, why not?" and then we remember good old Zaguán the seal! And how good Legosi has gotten at sea speak!!! Legosi is saved by words Zaguán told him to use in case of danger in the sea, and the Shishigumi have to tell him what they know。 But, turns out they don't know his actual weakness entirely。Legosi finds out about a group of pure blood extremists that try to eradicate mixed groups called The Kopi Luwak, run by bats and their civet boss(“ghost cat”) Legosi, rightly so, is concerned about getting help from them to take down Melon。 All I can think of, is that we'd be taking down one evil and letting another thrive, no matter who survived or died in that situation。 The Kopi Luwak are even a gang that Gosha has fought in the past, and fights in the last chapter of the volume。As the volume ends, we are unsure what the next steps of taking down either Melon OR the Kopi Luwak will be。 But the hybrid stuff really has gone all around and continues to be slowly expanded upon each volume, which is great。 I'm curious to see where things will go from here, but I imagine Legosi will be diving head first into danger again really soon。 。。。more
